Penn Kemp​

Poet, performer and playwright Penn Kemp has been lauded as a trailblazer since her first Coach House publication (1972), and a “one-woman literary industry” as London’s inaugural Poet Laureate and Western University’s Writer-in-Residence. She was the League of Canadian Poets’ Spoken Word Artist, 2015, Penn has long been a keen participant in Canada’s cultural life, with thirty books of poetry, prose and drama; seven plays and ten CDs produced as well as several award-winning videopoems.  Her 2018 books of poetry are Local Heroes  (Insomniac), and Fox Haunts (Aeolus House).
