An Afternoon with Monia Mazigh: Hosted by David Heap

November 5, 2016 at 2:15pm

Join us at WordsFest to see author, academic and activist Monia Mazigh, in conversation with David Heap.

Monia will be in London reading from her new book, Hope Has Two Daughts. Monia writes in French & English. Weaving together the voices of two women at two pivotal moments in history, the Tunisian Bread Riots in 1984 and the Jasmine Revolution in 2010, Hope Has Two Daughters is a bracing, vivid story that perfectly captures life inside revolution.

David Heap is a parent of two and a life-long peace and social justice activist. A University of Western Ontario faculty member (French & linguistics), he is particularly interested in connecting with academics and students at the universities in Gaza. He hopes to help foster people-to-people links which build solidarity with Palestine.
