What is experimental literature? How has experimentation impacted the development of Canadian literary history, and how are experimental writers reimagining literary expression today?

Join us at Words as we visit with three writers are who are engaged in their own experiments of literature: writer and literary critic André Forget will talk about his new anthology, After Realism, featuring 24 writers challenging the realist tradition in Canadian fiction; writer and nehiyaw aunty Jessica Johns, winner of the 2020 Writers’ Trust Journey Prize for her short story “Bad Cree,” will talk about her experimental writing; and author and creative writing professor Aaron Schneider will talk about his new book of short fiction, What We Think We Know.
