Rebecca Zandbergen has worked for CBC for more than 15 years. She comes to us from CBC Kelowna where she hosted the popular afternoon show, Radio West. Rebecca helped launch the program back in 2011.

Rebecca grew up in rural Ontario and spent many years in Ottawa, graduating from Carleton University's journalism program. She also spent three years at the CBC there, hosting, newsreading and reporting.

Rebecca has worked in CBC stations all over the country including a stop just down the highway from London in Windsor. She's also spent time at CBC bureaus in Halifax, Iqaluit and Whitehorse.

She also teaches journalism - most recently at Carleton University. She's also taught at the National University in Rwanda and the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in South Africa. She's also filed radio documentaries from Rwanda and South Africa.

Rebecca's an avid runner, and keen to lace up and run the endless riverfront trails in London, along with uncovering every second hand and mid-century shop she can.
