GABRIELLE DROLET is a journalist, essayist, and cartoonist based in Montreal. She is a regular contributor to The New Yorker, and she contributes cartoons to the Globe and Mail. She was recently named a finalist for a National Newspaper Award in the Editorial Cartooning category, the first woman to be nominated in the category in 76 years. Her written work has been published in the New York Times, the Globe and Mail, The Walrus, VICE, Teen Vogue, and more. Her essays on disability have been nominated for a Digital Publishing Award and won gold at the Canadian Online Publishing Awards. Gabrielle holds an MFA from the University of Guelph, and she is a graduate of English & Writing Studies at Western University.
