A Chapbook Launch with 845 Press
Hosted by Aaron Schneider
Featuring: Alex Chappell, Elena Bentley, Kit Roffey, and Kyle Flemmer
Sunday, 3 December, 7PM

845 Press is the London, Ontario-based publishing arm of The /tƐmz/ Review. They publish innovative work by both emerging and established writers. They publish chapbooks and are now branching out into publishing longer fiction ebooks.

Elena Bentley's taliped is a long erasure poem that uses Randolph Bourne’s essay, originally titled “The Handicapped—By One of Them,” first published anonymously in 1911 in The Atlantic Monthly to explore the lived realities of disability.

The poems in Kyle Flemmer's Wikipoems follow the links in the Wikipedia pages of canonical Canadian novels to trace the inter-textual relationships we as a reading culture form with and between works considered literature.

The poems in Kit Roffey's debut chapbook, Civilian of Dirt, are as lucid and finely crafted as they are intensely felt.

The stories in Alex Chappell's swing, swing explore the loves and losses of their characters, finding solace in the fact that pain, heartbreak, and healing are universal.
