INTENT ON FLOWERING is a collection of poems that give voice to the growing pains that precede and exist within a lifetime of deaths and inevitable, triumphant blossomings.
About The Authors
Katie Jeresky (Van Den Berg) is the owner of Peaceful Pine Wellness, a Certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, Certified Yoga Teacher, and Community Herbalist. She weaves her deep connection with nature with creative expression through poetry, singing, watercolour art, photography, and crafting herbal teas.
Penn Kemp has participated in Canadian cultural life for more than 50 years – writing, editing, and publishing poetry, fiction, and plays. Her first book of poetry, Bearing Down, was published by Coach House, 1972. She's since published 30 books of poetry, prose, and drama, 7 plays and 10 cds of spoken word, and edited a number of anthologies by Canadian writers.
Jessica Lee McMillan is a legal worker, educator, and SFU Writer's Studio graduate with an English MA. Read her in The Humber Literary Review, Train Poetry Journal, Pinhole Poetry, Crab Creek Review, and others. She lives on the lands of the Halkomelem-speaking Peoples (New Westminster, BC) with her little family and large dog.
Rose Garden Press is run by Michelle Arnett and Michele Vanderwal. With backgrounds in English literature, creative writing, book publishing (Michele), English literature, philosophy, and library science (Michelle), we create handmade poetry chapbooks by blossoming and rooted Canadian voices. They publish work that features unexpected metaphors, rich imagery, and visceral/unique arrangements of thought.
