Lynda Curnoe will talk about Organizing Roy McDonald, a book that traces the creation of an archive for Western University. It was formed from Roy McDonald's voluminous collection of diaries, notebooks, letters, clippings, and ephemera that filled his London, Ontario home. Writer, busker, activist, and the "unofficial mayor of Richmond Row," this eccentric individual was Lynda Curnoe's long time friend. As Lynda digs through Roy's mountains of curiosities, his life story emerges.
Embark on a journey through time with our captivating public history lecture series, Terrific Tales! Join us as we unveil the rich tapestry of London and Middlesex's heritage. Network with others interested in local history and contribute to the preservation of our shared heritage. There will be a short introduction to Roy’s life followed by a question and answer session from the audience. Lynda will also have a display of some of Roy’s artifacts and there will be books available for sale. In partnership with the London and Middlesex Historical Society.
