The Almost Epic Squad is an unforgettable new multi-author, middle grade series about ordinary kids who develop some very unusual superpowers. Presenting together are the four superstar Canadian children’s authors who are the masterminds behind this explosively hilarious series: Kevin Sylvester, Ted Staunton, Lesley Livingston and Richard Scrimger. Fasten your seatbeats, you’re in for a wildly fun ride. Following the show, families can meet the authors for autographs and enjoy a variety of epic activities, including magic tricks, creating a collaborative superhero comic, button-making, discover-your-superpower-challenge station, face-painting, pizza ($1.50/slice) and more. Books will be available for purchase courtesy of Western Bookstore (cash only). This event is hosted in partnership with Words Festival.
