Western Libraries Presents: T.S. Eliot, James Reaney & Shakespeare

November 4, 2017 at 9:00am

An exhibit from Western Libraries will be on display throughout the weekend in the Centre Gallery. The exhibit includes items from two of Western’s most prized collections: the T.S. Eliot collection of first editions, letters, and manuscripts, and the James Reaney Fonds. The selections from the James Reaney Fonds have been selected to complement the James Reaney Memorial Lecture by Tom Smart on Nov. 5 at 5:30pm.

Additionally, Shakespeare’s Fourth Folio — a rare 1685 edition of plays, will be on display. Western is believed to be one of only two universities in Canada to have a copy of this prized volume. Prof. M.J. Kidnie, the Graham and Gail Wright Distinguished Scholar at Western University and a Shakespeare expert, will speak about the Folio’s importance on Nov. 4 at 5 p.m.
